Recipe on request: A Tasty comfort food made of rice and moong dal.
Ingredients: ( serves approx 2-3 )
1 cup rice
1/2 cup moong dal
1 tsp goda masala
1/2 tsp dhana jeera powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup coriander & shredded coconut mixture
21/2 cups of water
1 tbsp oil
2 green chillies chopped
1 onion chopped vertically
1 tsp ghee
salt to taste

Method:
Wash rice and moong dal.
In a pan add oil mustard seeds. When seeds begin to crackle add cumin, onion, chillies and turmeric powder. Saute for a few seconds. Now add goda masala, dhana jeera powder, ginger garlic paste, rice and moong dal.
Mix well and saute for few more seconds. Now add water, ghee & salt as per taste. Simmer till the rice and lentils are cooked ensuring that the mixture does not stick to the bottom.
Garnish with ghee on top, coriander & coconut mixture.Serve with mango pickle curd and onion rings.Enjoy!
